Positioned atop Clubhouse Drive, this GD Design Build residence marries traditional Steamboat rustic elements with modern design, optimizing panoramic views of Sleeping Giant, Rocky Peak, Howelsen Hill, and South Valley. The exterior features durable, low-maintenance materials like stone, reclaimed barn wood, and naturally aging rusted metal panels.

Internally, the design integrates traditional timber joinery and scissor trusses with contemporary glass and steel accents. The innovative staircase combines heavy timber treads with steel stringers and reclaimed mining screens, reflecting a fusion of strength and openness.

Employing Building Information Modeling (BIM), GD Design Build ensured each space captures its unique scenic views, particularly through the strategically placed timber-framed outdoor areas. The home’s layout is designed for entertaining, with distinct public and private spaces connected by large sliding doors that open to covered outdoor areas, accommodating both small gatherings and larger groups.

Advanced building science techniques are applied throughout, ensuring optimal thermal performance and air quality. This residence exemplifies a seamless blend of heritage craftsmanship and modern living, crafted to meet the dynamic needs of its owners.
